This tissue viability training course aims to raise awareness, knowledge and skills in relation to pressure ulcer prevention and the care and management of those with wounds.

  • Develop an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the skin 
  • Understand what tissue viability actually means
  • Gain a basic understanding of impact skin integrity and how skin care routines are important
  • Develop a understanding of the management and prevention of skin breakdown
  • Moisture Lesion or is it a Pressure Ulcer?
  • Infection control
  • Documentation
  • Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) involvement

Depending on the course- short courses are up to three hours and long courses are up to five hours.

Each will benefit from the best personal tuition from a trainer with experience in the condition or skill. Workbooks are issued together with certificates upon successful completion.

Skills Training with practical will help delegates gain some competence in their skill, along with a signed competence from the trainer.
