This Verification of Expected Death training course is designed to give knowledge and skills in relation to verifying life is extinct in patients that are expected to die, that have the required documentation in place in a community setting.

• What constitutes a good or bad death
• Management of relatives in the event of death
• Understand what constitutes a “expected death” or “unexpected death”
•  Identify and recognize the clinical signs of death
•  Terminology and differences of certification or verification
•   Understand the legal, professional and accountability in relation to the verification of expected death
•  Understand the role of the coroner and the related legal issues
•  Documentation – recording the fact of death accurately
•  Practical Demonstration on a delegate if wanted
